2009 looks to be an interesting year for desktop computer processors. Intel has scaled back plans to release additional and more affordable designs based on its new Core i7 architecture. AMD did release its Phenom II processors to try and stay competitive but they still are lagging behind. Both companies have dropped prices to help stimulate demand in this tight economy.
