Sebenarnye rumor ini udah terdengar lam, and katanya kecepatan bluetooth 3.0 ini bisa mengalahkan wi-fi. . Bener pa GA ? Mari kita baca artikel dibawah ini. .

Sesuai dengan waktu yang telah dijadwalkan, Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) sedang bersiap-siap untuk mempublikasikan spesifikasi Bluetooth 3.0 pada tanggal 21 April 2009, termasuk daftar para pembuat chip yang sudah bekerja sama. Produk baru ini dikatakan akan memiliki peningkatan kecepatan transfer dengan cukup dramatis dengan menggunakan teknologi 802.11, sekaligus ukuran file yang lebih besar.

Spesifikasi yang sebelumnya, sebenarnya sudah cukup bagus, terutama untuk transfer data yang berukuran kecil, seperti info kontak atau catatan kalender. Tetapi, seiring dengan mobile device yang sudah bergerak ke arah pusat hiburan atau media, tentu saja peningkatan kecepatan akan sangat bermanfaat untuk berurusan dengan file-file video atau koleksi musik.

Bagi Anda yang penasaran, Bluetooth 3.0 + standar kecepatan tinggi bekerja dengan menggunakan 2 modul Bluetooth yang saling bekerja sama untuk mengkoordinasikan sebuah saklar untuk 802.11 (tanpa harus untuk masuk ke dalam jaringan WiFi) untuk mentransfer file berukuran besar. Hacker Serang Facebook

HACKER dikabarkan telah melancarkan serangan terhadap 200 juta pengguna Facebook di seluruh dunia. Laporan tersebut disampaikan pada Kamis (14/5) kemarin. Dari laporan tersebut dikatakan bahwa hacker telah berhasil mengumpulkan password dari jutaan pengguna Facebook.

Barry Schnitt (juru bicara Facebook) mengatakan kalau pihaknya kini tengah membersihkan kerusakan dari serangan tersebut. Lagi, Schnitt menambahkan kalau Facebook kini telah mengambil langkah dengan melakukan pemblokiran terhadap alamat Facebook yang disinyalir sudah terkena serangan Hacker. Sayangnya, Schnitt menolak untuk menyebutkan jumlah alamat Facebook yang telah terinfeksi.

Lagi-lagi Phising yang menjadi andalan utama terjadinya penyerangan tersebut. Dengan teknik Phising-lah para hacker mampu menjebol beberapa akun Facebook, yang kemudian mengirim e-mail ke alamat si pemilik alamat Facebook untuk mengunjungi link sesat Facebook.

Pengguna yang berhasil terkena jebakan akan mendapati situs Facebook palsu yang memiliki desain mirip dengan Facebook asli. Yang membedakan adalah teknik login yang digunakan, yakni pengguna akan didorong untuk melakukan login kembali untuk dapat kembali masuk ke dalam situs tersebut. Namun yang terjadi sebenarnya adalah pengguna sedang dikontrol oleh si hacker yang akan mencuri password.

Schnitt menambahkan bahwa tim Facebook kini telah berhasil mengumpulkan sejumlah besar data rahasia pengguna, termasuk password. Tujuannya tak lain adalah agar suatu waktu para hacker tersebut dapat menggunakan akun tersebut untuk mengirim spam obat kimia atau perangkat lainnya kepada para member Facebook di seluruh dunia.

Arctic, large, cold area around the North Pole. The Arctic is not a clearly defined area. It includes the Arctic Ocean, many islands, and parts of the mainlands of North America, Asia, and Europe.
Scientists define the Arctic in three major ways. First, as the area north of the Arctic Circle (latitude 66°30′ north). Second, as the region north of the 10°C (50°F) summer isotherm. The summer isotherm is a line on a map drawn through locations with an average annual temperature of 0°C (32°F) or less and a mean temperature for the warmest summer month of 10°C (50°F). Third, the Arctic is defined as the region north of the tree line, the point beyond which trees do not grow. The summer isotherm and the tree line enclose roughly the same territory, which is somewhat larger than the region bounded by the Arctic Circle.
The largest Arctic land areas are in Canada, Russia, Greenland (Kalaallit Nunaat), Scandinavia, Iceland, Alaska, and Svalbard and other islands.

THE NATURAL ENVİRONMENT

Unlike Antarctica, an ice-covered continental plateau surrounded by oceans, the Arctic has a central ocean almost enclosed by land. One large gap exists between Greenland and Scandinavia, and much smaller breaks are among the Canadian Arctic Islands and at the Bering Strait, which separates Alaska and Siberia.

The principal geological elements of the Arctic include parts of three ancient landmasses, composed predominantly of granite and gneiss, which are called shields—the Baltic-Scandinavian-Russian Shield, the Angara Shield or Siberian Platform (in north central Siberia), and the Canadian Shield (including all the Canadian Arctic except for the Queen Elizabeth Islands). Several regions, such as most of Greenland, are permanently ice covered, and extensive coastal plains are along much of northern Siberia, parts of the northwestern mainland and islands of Canada, and the North Slope of Alaska. Mountain ranges are in the eastern Arctic region of Canada (notably on Baffin Island), in Yukon Territory, in northern Alaska, in coastal Greenland, in Iceland, and in northeastern Siberia.
A Rivers and Lakes

Low precipitation is characteristic of the Arctic, so large and elaborate river and lake systems are rare. In many places, however, permafrost (permanently frozen subsoil) restricts the downward drainage of meltwater from snow, and the water accumulates on the surface as shallow lakes, ponds, and marshes. In addition, rivers from more humid regions flow seaward across the dry Arctic terrain. Several large rivers are in the Russian Arctic, and the Mackenzie and Yukon rivers are in North America.

Climate
Winter in the Arctic is long and cold, and summer is short and cool. The Arctic Circle marks the border of a zone in which the sun never rises during at least one day in winter and never sets during at least one day in summer. The number of days when the sun is or is not visible during the entire day increases toward the north. Latitude, which determines the length of daylight, influences climate, but nearby areas contrast sharply. For instance, on the Greenland ice cap average midwinter temperatures are -33°C (-27°F), whereas adjacent coastal settlements, whose climates are moderated by the relatively warm ocean, typically have a mean temperature of -7°C (19°F) in the same period. The North Pole is not the coldest spot in the Arctic, because its climate is moderated by the ocean. Oymyakon, in northeastern Siberia, holds the record low temperature of -68°C (-90°F). The coldest recorded temperature for North America is -65°C (-85°F), at Snag, in Yukon Territory. The characteristically low precipitation averages less than 250 mm (10 in) per year, the moisture being received in almost all locations. Despite their distance from industrialized areas, the polar regions are sometimes blanketed by a smoglike haze.

It takes less than 50 milliseconds to decide if you like a website
Internet users make up their minds about the quality of a website in the blink of an eye, a study shows.
Researchers found that the brain makes decisions in just a 20th of a second of viewing a webpage.

They were surprised as they believed it would take at least 10 times longer to form an opinion.

The study, published in the journal Behaviour and Information Technology, also suggests that first impressions have a lasting impact.

Speedy conclusions

The Canadian team showed volunteers glimpses of websites, lasting for only 50 milliseconds.

The researchers found that the speedily formed conclusions closely tallied with opinions of the websites that had been made after much longer periods of examination.

Gitte Lindgaard of Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada, and lead researcher of the paper expressed her surprise at the results.

"My colleagues believed it would be impossible to really see anything in less than 500 milliseconds," she told the website of the Nature journal, which reported the research.

The judgements were being formed almost as quickly as the eye can take in information.

Lasting impressions

The researchers also believe that these quickly formed first impressions last because of what is known to psychologists as the "halo effect".

If people believe a website looks good, then this positive quality will spread to other areas, such as the website's content.

Since people like to be right, they will continue to use the website that made a good first impression, as this will further confirm that their initial decision was a good one.

As websites increasingly jostle for business, Dr Lindgaard added that companies should take note.

"Unless the first impression is favourable, visitors will be out of your site before they even know that you might be offering more than your competitors," she warned.

YOGA

Yoga is a term that has two meanings. It is both (1) a school of thought in the Hindu religion and (2)
a system of mental and physical exercise developed by that school. Followers of the yoga school,
who are called yogis or yogins, use yoga exercise to achieve their goal of isolation of the soul from the body and mind. Many non-Hindus in Western countries practice some form of yoga exercise in
hope of improving their health and achieving peace of mind. The word yoga means discipline in
Sanskrit, the classical language of India.

According to the yoga school, every human being consists of prakrti and purusha. Prakrti includes a person's body, mind, and ego (conscious self). Purusha is pure, empty consciousness--the soul. The
yoga school teaches that the soul is completely separate from the rest of a person, but that the person does not realize it. Human beings suffer because they wrongly believe that their soul is
bound to their body and mind. The yoga school, through yoga exercise, aims to give people prajna (understanding) of the meaning of their soul. After a person has obtained this understanding, his or her soul will gain moksha (release) from the samsara (cycle of rebirth) in which Hindus believe.
A yogi, under the guidance of a guru (teacher), goes through eight stages of training on the way to moksha. The yogi learns: (1) disciplined behavior, called yama; (2) positive values (niyama); (3) bodily postures, such as the lotus position (asana); (4) control of breathing (pranayama); (5) control
of the senses (pratyahara); (6) fixing of the mind on a chosen object (dharana); and (7) meditation
(dhyana). The eighth stage, called samadhi, is a state of concentration in which yogis realize that their soul is pure and free, and empty of all content. A yogi who has completed these eight stages
has reached kaivalya. Kaivalya is total isolation of the soul from the body, from all other souls, and from all of nature.

Various forms of yoga have become popular in the United States and Europe. Transcendental
Meditation is a simplified version of the yoga of Hinduism. Bhakti-yoga involves the dedication of all actions and thoughts to a chosen god. Members of the Hare Krishna movement practice bhakti-yoga
by dedicating themselves to the god Krishna. Hatha-yoga, which stresses difficult bodily postures and breathing techniques, has become popular as a method of gaining better health. People also
study hatha-yoga for the unusual control some yogis develop over such functions as metabolism and blood flow.

service. The tax is paid by every company that handles a product during its transformation from raw materials to finished goods. The amount of the tax is determined by the amount of the value that a

Suppose that a company making scratch pads buys paper, cardboard, and glue worth $1,000. The company adds $500 in labor costs, profits, and depreciation, and sells the scratch pads for $1,500. The value-added tax is calculated on the $500. The companies that had sold the paper, cardboard, and glue to the scratch pads company would also pay a tax on their value added. In this way, the total value added taxed at each stage of production adds to the total value of the final product. Most firms that pay a value-added tax try to pass this expense on to the next buyer. As a result, most of the burden of this tax in time falls on the consumer. In this sense, the final effect is equal to that of a retail sales tax. The tax is levied at a fixed percentage rate and applies to all goods and services. However, many nations use different rates. In these nations, the less necessary a product is, the higher the rate will be.

and its price. The supply of a product is the amount of it that businesses are willing and able to offer for sale at alternative prices. This is called the equilibrium price.

an example, the supply curve SS' shows the number of pounds produced each month at every possible market price. Higher prices encourage farmers to produce more onions, and low prices

many pounds of onions customers want to buy each month at every possible price. At low prices, they want many onions. At high prices, the customers use other vegetables.

The development of trade

Later, people learned that they could have more and better goods and services by specializing and trading with others. As civilization advanced, exchanges
became so common that some individuals did nothing but conduct trade. This class became known
as merchants. The most famous early land merchants were the Babylonians and, later, the Arabs. These traders traveled on foot or rode donkeys or camels. The Phoenicians were the chief sea traders of ancient times.

Trade was very important during the hundreds of years the Roman Empire ruled much of the world. Roman ships brought tin from Britain, and slaves, cloth, and gems from the Orient. For more than
500 years after the fall of the Roman Empire in A.D. 476, little international trade took place. The expansion of trade began in the 1100's and 1200's, largely because of increased contacts
between people. The crusades encouraged European trade with the Middle East. Marco Polo and
other European merchants made the long trip to the Far East to trade for Chinese goods. Italians in
Genoa, Pisa, and Venice built great fleets of ships to carry goods from country to country.

A great period of overseas exploration began in the 1400's. Trade routes between Europe and Africa, India, and Southeast Asia were established as a result of the explorations. In the 1500's and 1600's, private groups formed companies, usually with governmental approval, to trade in new areas.

Trade between Europe and America was carried on by the chartered companies that established the earliest American colonies. The colonists sent sugar, molasses, furs, rice, rum, potatoes, tobacco, timber, and cocoa to Europe. In return, they received manufactured articles, luxuries, and slaves.

Trade also pushed American frontiers westward. Trading posts sprang up in the wilderness. Many of these posts later grew into cities.

Trade today affects the lives of most people. Improved transportation permits trade between all parts of the world. Through specialization, more and better goods and services are produced. Increased production has led to higher incomes, enabling people to buy more of these goods and services.

tsunami (pronounced soo-nahm-ee) is a series of huge waves that happen after an undersea disturbance, such as an earthquake or volcano eruption. (Tsunami is from the Japanese word for harbor wave.) The waves travel in all directions from the area of disturbance, much like the ripples that happen after throwing a rock. The waves may travel in the open sea as fast as 450 miles per hour. Hawaii is the state at greatest risk for a tsunami. They get about one a year, with a damaging tsunami happening about every seven years. Alaska is also at high risk. California, Oregon and Washington experience a damaging tsunami about every 18 years.

In 1964, an Alaskan earthquake generated a tsunami with waves between 10 and 20 feet high along parts of the California, Oregon and Washington coasts.

Earthquakes are the shaking, rolling or sudden shock of the earth’s surface. Earthquakes happen along "fault lines" in the earth’s crust. A magnitude 6.0 earthquake is considered strong and a magnitude 7.0 is a major earthquake. The Northridge Earthquake, which hit Southern California in 1994, was magnitude 6.7.

Called greenhouse gases, their levels are higher now than in the last 650,000 years.

We call the result global warming, but it is causing a set of changes to the Earth's climate, or long-term weather patterns, that varies from place to place. As the Earth spins each day, the new heat swirls with it, picking up moisture over the oceans, rising here, settling there. It's changing the rhythms of climate that all living things have come to rely upon.

What will we do to slow this warming? How will we cope with the changes we've already set into motion? While we struggle to figure it all out, the face of the Earth as we know it—coasts, forests, farms and snow-capped mountains—hangs in the balance.

Greenhouse effect

The "greenhouse effect" is the warming that happens when certain gases in Earth's atmosphere trap heat. These gases let in light but keep heat from escaping, like the glass walls of a greenhouse.

First, sunlight shines onto the Earth's surface, where it is absorbed and then radiates back into the atmosphere as heat. In the atmosphere, “greenhouse” gases trap some of this heat, and the rest escapes into space. The more greenhouse gases are in the atmosphere, the more heat gets trapped.

Scientists have known about the greenhouse effect since 1824, when Joseph Fourier calculated that the Earth would be much colder if it had no atmosphere. This greenhouse effect is what keeps the Earth's climate livable. Without it, the Earth's surface would be an average of about 60 degrees Fahrenheit cooler. In 1895, the Swedish chemist Svante Arrhenius discovered that humans could enhance the greenhouse effect by making carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas. He kicked off 100 years of climate research that has given us a sophisticated understanding of global warming.

Levels of greenhouse gases (GHGs) have gone up and down over the Earth's history, but they have been fairly constant for the past few thousand years. Global average temperatures have stayed fairly constant over that time as well, until recently. Through the burning of fossil fuels and other GHG emissions, humans are enhancing the greenhouse effect and warming Earth.

Scientists often use the term "climate change" instead of global warming. This is because as the Earth's average temperature climbs, winds and ocean currents move heat around the globe in ways that can cool some areas, warm others, and change the amount of rain and snow falling. As a result, the climate changes differently in different areas.

Aren’t temperature changes natural?

The average global temperature and concentrations of carbon dioxide (one of the major greenhouse gases) have fluctuated on a cycle of hundreds of thousands of years as the Earth's position relative to the sun has varied. As a result, ice ages have come and gone.

However, for thousands of years now, emissions of GHGs to the atmosphere have been balanced out by GHGs that are naturally absorbed. As a result, GHG concentrations and temperature have been fairly stable. This stability has allowed human civilization to develop within a consistent climate.

Occasionally, other factors briefly influence global temperatures. Volcanic eruptions, for example, emit particles that temporarily cool the Earth's surface. But these have no lasting effect beyond a few years. Other cycles, such as El Niño, also work on fairly short and predictable cycles.

Now, humans have increased the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere by more than a third since the industrial revolution. Changes this large have historically taken thousands of years, but are now happening over the course of decades.

Why is this a concern?

The rapid rise in greenhouse gases is a problem because it is changing the climate faster than some living things may be able to adapt. Also, a new and more unpredictable climate poses unique challenges to all life.

Historically, Earth's climate has regularly shifted back and forth between temperatures like those we see today and temperatures cold enough that large sheets of ice covered much of North America and Europe. The difference between average global temperatures today and during those ice ages is only about 5 degrees Celsius (9 degrees Fahrenheit), and these swings happen slowly, over hundreds of thousands of years.

Now, with concentrations of greenhouse gases rising, Earth's remaining ice sheets (such as Greenland and Antarctica) are starting to melt too. The extra water could potentially raise sea levels significantly.

As the mercury rises, the climate can change in unexpected ways. In addition to sea levels rising, weather can become more extreme. This means more intense major storms, more rain followed by longer and drier droughts (a challenge for growing crops), changes in the ranges in which plants and animals can live, and loss of water supplies that have historically come from glaciers.

Scientists are already seeing some of these changes occurring more quickly than they had expected. According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, eleven of the twelve hottest years since thermometer readings became available occurred between 1995 and 2006.

Some of the ships were damaged and part of the fleet grounded on Bermuda, an island nation in the Atlantic. These passengers became the first people to live on Bermuda. In 1640, a hurricane partially destroyed a large Dutch fleet that was poised to attack Cuba.

There were a number of particularly severe hurricanes as the U.S. went from the 1800s to the 1900s. Hurricanes hit Louisiana, South Carolina and Georgia in 1893 and killed as many as 4,000 people. In 1900, a famous Texas hurricane killed more than 8,000 people and was a Category 4 storm.

As forecasting improved communities were no longer surprised by hurricanes and could take measures to evacuate ahead of the storm. While destruction still continues, the number of deaths in hurricanes had dropped significantly.
